Rooms/Categories
You can enter new texts/images in the extranet at Expedia at any time.
Please do not change the room categories or their occupancy without contacting Channel Manager Hotel Support beforehand.
Bookings
Bookings made after activating the interface will be visible in your hotel manager on Channel Manager (as well as other bookings). You will continue to receive an email from Channel Manager when you receive a new booking.
For data protection reasons, Expedia sends few guest information. Please note that cancellations and changes are only permitted via Expedia.
Unless otherwise desired, Expedia will transfer the reservation price before taxes. The Channel Manager customer service can set this to import the gross price upon request.
Expedia Payment Methods
ExpediaCollect: In this case, Expedia collects the payment from the guest at the time of booking. The guest pays the entire amount, including taxes and fees, directly to Expedia. Expedia then transfers the payment on behalf of the guest to the hotel. The bookings include a virtual credit card from Expedia.
HotelCollect: In this case, the hotel charges the guest directly. The guest provides their credit card details to secure the booking, and the hotel is responsible for billing the guest for the stay and any additional costs.
Please note that when configuring rate options based on different payment methods, Expedia's system automatically generates new rate codes when the payment method is changed. This causes the rates to no longer be found and triggers an automatic unmapping process. To ensure a seamless connection, we recommend that you review your rate mappings each time the payment method is changed.
